Local Support & Grants for Liskeard Businesses

Cornwall is blessed with many organisations aimed at nurturing new business. More than 70% of the local economy is driven by sole traders, SMEs and start-ups and innovation are encouraged as catalysts for growth.

Locally, Liskeard holds regular networking events and new businesses are always welcome to join the Liskeard Traders Association and Chamber of Commerce.

County-wide the support is considerable and expert, with 50% match funding common for training, product development and ‘Big Ideas’. Below are a few of the key drivers for growth in Cornwall, run by teams who go out of their way to aid relocation, and help new business get off the ground and stay there.

Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Growth Hub

www.ciosgrowthhub.com

The Growth Hub has been created in response to a common issue raised by businesses – that the range and complexity of business support available at a local and national level is far too confusing and time consuming to navigate.  At its core the Growth Hub acts as a signposting service, pointing people in the right direction to get the support they need to start or grow their business.

Supported by a comprehensive website, a team of locally based experts work directly with businesses to help them identify and access support in a way that is right for them, whether that is business development, coaching, funding or something else entirely.
