Local Support & Grants for Liskeard Businesses

Cornwall is blessed with many organisations aimed at nurturing new business. More than 70% of the local economy is driven by sole traders, SMEs and start-ups and innovation are encouraged as catalysts for growth.

Locally, Liskeard holds regular networking events and new businesses are always welcome to join the Liskeard Traders Association and Chamber of Commerce.

County-wide the support is considerable and expert, with 50% match funding common for training, product development and ‘Big Ideas’. Below are a few of the key drivers for growth in Cornwall, run by teams who go out of their way to aid relocation, and help new business get off the ground and stay there.

Cornwall Chamber of Commerce has training and events which cover a wide range of support for businesses.  Full details of their events can be found here: https://www.cornwallchamber.co.uk/events/?c=6
