Somatics is a simple and effective way of releasing muscular tension that leads to pain. Tension builds up over time and becomes habitual so that after a while you can no longer feel it. In Somatics we deliberately tighten the muscle groups that are already tense in order to feel them. Once we can feel them we can slowly release them. In this way we lengthen the muscles without stretching and reset the nervous system. The movements are gentle and simple and easy to follow and are mostly done lying on the floor. 

Please bring a mat or blanket to lie on and a cushion.
